Funding Modernization Overview
Click here to review DCBDD’s revised Funding for Services Policy, which took effect on 1.1.24.
For individuals determined to be eligible PRIOR to 1.1.24:
If you are enrolled in the Early Intervention program (ages birth-2):
Families will continue to be assigned a Service Coordinator and a Primary Service Provider as part of a Core Team of professionals, who are responsible for the coordination of Board supports and services. Local funding is limited to $500.
If you are enrolled on a Medicaid waiver:
- You will continue to receive waiver services to meet your assessed needs
- Any local funding authorized in addition to your waiver services (non-waiver services) will only be available until 12.31.24
- Your assigned Service Coordinator or Service and Support Administrator will help you locate community resources for non-waiver services
- Individuals on Medicaid waivers are still eligible to receive behavioral support services, representative payee services, rent subsidies, moving expenses, extermination services, interpreting services, and benefits analysis services
If you are not enrolled on a Medicaid waiver (ages 3+):
- You can continue to utilize our Self-Directed Services (SDS) program until 12.31.24
